The Holy Qur'an | The Final Revelation ( Part 1 )

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

My brothers and my sisters,

As a Muslim, we have to make Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah as the main guides in our life. Al-Qur'an, is the ''Road-Map'' that guides the believers along the Straight Path to his ultimate destination - Paradise ( Jannah ), in the Hereafter ( Akhirah ). I gonna write about the holiest book in the world, so that you can understand and know about it later. Here we go.

• What is The Qur'an?

The Qur'an is Truth from God ( Allah S.W.T, in Arabic ). It is the exact Word of Allah revealed to His Last and Universal Prophet, Muhammad ( peace be upon him ). Allah revealed The Qur'an through Angel Gabriel ( Jibril, in Arabic ) in Arabic, the language of Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh ), and the Arab people to whom it was first conveyed.

The Qur'an is Allah's Final Revelation which He has "guaranteed to protect" from corruption, until the end of time. 

Mafhum : We have revealed this Qur'an, and We will guard It from corruption.

(Chapter 15, Verse 9)

The Qur'an is the only existing authentic Revealed Book because, unlike earlier Revealed Books, it has been preserved intact in its original language, content and form. Thus, The Qur'an prevails as a Universal Message that provides Divine Guidance to all of humanity, for all times and in all places. 

• Earlier Revealed Books

The Qur'an is the last "instalment" in the chain of Divine Revelations to mankind, which had begun from Adam ( pbuh ), the first man and Prophet, and culminated with Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh ). 

The Qur'an mentions 4 earlier Revealed Books:

The Scrolls ( Suhuf, in Arabic )

of Prophet Abraham ( Ibrahim, in Arabic )

The Torah ( Taurat, in Arabic )
of Prophet Moses ( Musa, in Arabic )

The Psalms ( Zabur, in Arabic )
of Prophet David ( Daud, in Arabic )

The Gospel ( Injil, in Arabic )
of Prophet Jesus (Isa, in Arabic )

Muslims believe in all Prophets and Revealed Books. These earlier Books were limited to specific communities and periods of history. All of them are either lost, or no longer exist in their original form. However, their message is retold and permanently preserved in the Final Revelation.
